ULM and SuperTalk 1340 Team Up to Broadcast Warhawk Football in Shreveport/Bossier City

Football
MONROE, La. - ULM and Cumulus Broadcasting are excited to announce a new partnership that will bring Warhawk football to the airwaves of the Shreveport/Bossier City area beginning with the 2010 season. SuperTalk 1340 has joined the Warhawk Radio Network to broadcast all of ULM's football games and weekly Hawk Talk Football Coach's Show.

"We're excited to partner with KRMD AM-SuperTalk 1340 to carry our football games and our weekly editions of Hawk Talk this fall," ULM Athletic Director Bobby Staub said. "We have a significant number of ULM alumni and fans in and around the Shreveport/Bossier market, so this was an initiative we felt we needed to pursue."

SuperTalk 1340 has a signal that stretches into east Texas and south Arkansas to give ULM a four-state over-the-air broadcast area for its football games - Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi and Texas. North Louisiana's home to the Dallas Cowboys, SuperTalk 1340 also broadcasts ESPN's Mike and Mike, the Shreveport-Bossier Captains and other ESPN Radio programs.

"We are very excited at Cumulus to be broadcasting all of ULM's football games this season on KRMD AM-SuperTalk 1340," Cumulus Broadcasting-Shreveport/Bossier General Manager Susan Lucchesi said. "Our exclusive ESPN affiliation in the Shreveport/Bossier City market makes this a perfect fit.  I hope all the ULM fans and alumni will enjoy every minute of what looks to be an exciting season for the Warhawks."

Fans that are unable to hear the Warhawks on the radio will still have the ability to catch all of the Warhawk Radio Network broadcasts online at ulmwarhawks.com. Veteran play-by-play man Frank Hoffmann returns for his 35th season as the "Voice of the Warhawks", Bruce Hanks returns for his seventh season with the Warhawk Radio Network and will once again handle the color analyst duties and Amanda (Joseph) May will roam the sidelines for her second season.

ULM opens the season on Sept. 11 against No. 17 Arkansas in Little Rock, Ark. Kickoff is scheduled for 6 p.m. and the game will be televised by Fox Sports Net in addition to the radio broadcast.

Season tickets and away game tickets can be purchased by calling 318-342-3ULM, by clicking here, by e-mailing warhawktickets@ulm.edu or in person at the ULM ticket office in Malone Stadium.
