JACKSONVILLE, Fla.- Former ULM defensive end Aaron Morgan's impressive NFL preseason earned him a spot on the Jacksonville Jaguars after the team signed him as a undrafted free agent following the NFL Draft in April. NFL teams were forced to cut their active rosters down to 53 players on Saturday.
Morgan, who was one of the top pass rushers in the country last season,
earned all-Sun Belt and all-Louisiana honors after finishing with 9.0
sacks -- good for first in the Sun Belt and 23rd
in the NCAA. The Amite, La., native also finished second in
the Sun Belt and 16th in the NCAA with 17.0 tackles for loss. His
single-season sack total ranked as the eighth best in ULM and Sun Belt history
and he finished his collegiate career ranked second all-time in the Sun Belt
with 22.0 career sacks.
