MONROE,
La. - Denver used a pair of second-half goals to pull away and defeat ULM 3-0
Sunday afternoon at the ULM Soccer Complex.
ULM
(5-7-1, 0-4-0 SBC) trailed 1-0 at the half after Denver scored in the eighth
minute on goal from Nicholette DiGiacomo. Denver, the defending Sun Belt
champions, has won 18 consecutive regular season Sun Belt matches.
The
Pioneers (9-2-0, 4-0-0 SBC) extended the lead to 2-0 in the 54th minute on a
goal from Kalie Vaughn. Stephanie Woo gave Denver a 3-0 advantage with a goal
in the 72nd minute.
Junior
Alex Holland had another stellar day in goal for ULM with eight saves in the
match.
Up
next, the Warhawks travel to Arkansas to face UALR Friday (Oct. 7) at 7 p.m.,
and Arkansas State Sunday (Oct. 9) at 1 p.m.
