LITTLE ROCK, Ark. - ULM fell behind early on its way to a 3-0 loss to
UALR Friday evening at Burns Park. The loss drops the Warhawks to 5-8-1, 0-5-0
in the Sun Belt.
UALR (6-8-0, 2-3-0 SBC) scored a pair of the goals in the first six
minutes to take control of the match. The Trojans struck first in the second
minute on a goal from Alyson Rohane on a put-back. UALR scored again at the
5:44 mark on another put-back goal - this time by Christina Veasley.
The Trojans' Holly Holland added the third and final goal in the 29th
minute.
ULM recorded 10 shots in the match, including eight shots on goal, but was
shutout for the third consecutive match. Eight Warhawks attempted shots in the
match, including two each from sophomore defender Brittany Parker and freshman
midfielder Kat Cuntz.
Junior Alex Holland took the loss in goal for ULM, giving up all three
goal and recording three saves. Sophomore Hannah Linzay took over in the second
half and held the Trojans without a goal while making four saves.
The Warhawks continue play on the road Sunday at Arkansas State. The
match is set to kickoff at 1 p.m.
