JONESBORO,
Ark. - The ULM soccer team dropped a 5-0 decision at Arkansas State in Sun Belt
action Sunday to wrap up a two-match road trip.
The
Warhawks (5-9-1, 0-6-0 SBC) totaled 11 shots and six shots on goal in the
match, but were held scoreless for the fourth consecutive match. Junior
midfielder Kylie McIntyre led ULM with four shots, three on goal.
Arkansas
State (5-7-2, 3-3-0 SBC) got on the board in the 22nd minute off a
penalty kick from Tory Pitts. The Red Wolves took a 2-0 lead just before
halftime in the 42nd minute on an own goal by the Warhawks.
The Red
Wolves added two more goals from Pitts and one from Kara Nitti in the second
half for the final score.
Junior goalkeeper
Alex Holland played the entire match in goal for the Warhawks, giving up the
five goals while making seven saves.
The
Warhawks return home to face Western Kentucky Friday (Oct. 14) at 4 p.m., and
Middle Tennessee Sunday (Oct. 16) at 1 p.m.
