BOCA RATON, Fla. --
Florida Atlantic's Claire Emslie scored the lone goal of the contest in the 86th minute as the Owls defeated ULM, 1-0, Friday night at the FAU
Soccer Stadium.
Emslie's goal came just over three minutes after her
penalty kick attempt to give the Owls (4-9-0, 2-4-0 SBC) the lead
was saved by Alex Holland. With the
loss, the Warhawks fall to 4-11-0 on the season and 1-5-0 in league play.
Holland recorded 12 saves in Friday's match while the
Warhawk back line tallied three team saves.
Bethany Park led ULM with three shots, including two on goal.
The Warhawks will close out the two-match road swing
through the state of Florida Sunday when they face FIU at 11 a.m. CT.
