Box Score CONWAY, Ark. - ULM notched a 4-0 victory against Central Arkansas Friday
afternoon at the UCA Tennis Courts. It marked a rare two-win day as the
Warhawks defeated conference foe UALR Friday morning in Little Rock, Ark.
ULM (9-2) rolled through the late afternoon match and didn't drop a set
in route to its fifth straight victory. For the second time today the Warhawks
did not compete in doubles play.
ULM's Sophie Rufyikiri picked up an easy victory against UCA's Simona
Horsikyan with a 6-1, 6-1 result at No. 1 singles. Medy Blankvoort topped
Kristina Horsikyan 6-1, 6-3 at No. 3 singles and Monica Winkel knocked off
Maribelle Siegfried 6-0, 6-1 at No. 6 singles.
The decisive match came at No. 4 singles where Ema Turudija defeated
Sasha Ruocco 6-3, 6-4. Silvia Tumova and Vivian Polak each led their opponents in the second
set before the match was called.
ULM will have 13 days off before hosting rival UL-Lafayette Thursday
(March 22) at 2 p.m.
