MONROE, La. - McNeese State broke
a 1-1 tie with a goal in the 86th minute and held on for a 2-1 victory over ULM
Wednesday afternoon at the ULM Soccer Complex. Chelsea Beaubouef scored the unassisted goal at the 85:49 mark off
her own rebound just minutes after the Warhawks had tied the match.
ULM (2-6) rallied from a 1-0 deficit with a goal from junior Brittany Parker at 84:09 mark. Parker
put her head on a cross from freshman Kelley
O'Dwyer and netted her first goal of the season in the left side of the net.
However, the tie was short-lived as the Cowgirls answered just 1
minute, 40 seconds later for the game-winner.
Following a scoreless first half by both teams, McNeese State came out with
a quick goal in the 47th minute by Brennan
Moss. Moss snuck by the ULM defense for the score, her third of the season.
ULM senior goalkeeper Alex
Holland picked up the loss as she played the final 41:36 and had two saves
and allowed one goal. Junior Karlin
Aloisio made the start in goal for the Warhawks and provided four saves and
allowed one goal in 48:24 of work.
The Warhawks are back in action Friday at Southern University with the
match set to kickoff at 3 p.m.
