Box Score MONROE, La. -- ULM (1-0) opened its spring season on Sunday afternoon with a 6-1 victory over Central Arkansas (1-4) inside Raymond Heard Stadium.
In doubles, Medy Blankvoort and Justyna Krol cruised past Kristina Horsikyan and Anna Buyukyan, 8-2, in No. 3 doubles. Sophie Rufyikiri and Ema Turudija collected the doubles point with a 8-3 decision over Krizia Buck and Allison Murphy in No. 1 doubles.. The third doubles match between featuring ULM's Petra Horakova and Silvia Tumova did not finish.
Krol began singles with a 6-2, 6-0 victory over Sasha Ruocco in No. 5 singles. Rufyikiri defeated Simona Horsikyan 6-1. 6-1, in No. 1 singles. Blankvoort handled Murphy in No. 2 singles, 6-0, 6-2.Horokova collected her first collegiate singles victory, 6-2, 6-0, over Stephanie Gonzalez Valero in No. 6 singles.
Tumova beat Kristina Horsikyan, 6-3, 6-0, in No. 5 singles. In the final match of the day, UCA got on the board as Buck clipped Turudija, 6-4, 7-5, in No. 4 singles.
The Warhawks will play at McNeese State on Friday, Feb. 1 at 2 p.m.
