WACO, Texas -- The American Football Coaches Association announced today that ULM head
football coach Todd Berry will serve AFCA's third vice president during the
2013 calendar year.
Berry recently wrapped up his third season at the helm of the Warhawk
football program where he guided the team to an FBS-era best eight wins and the
squad's first bowl appearance since joining the FBS ranks in 1994.
"I am very excited about having the opportunity to serve a profession I
love," Berry said. "It is a great honor
to serve as an AFCA officer this year. I
will treat this opportunity with respect and I look forward to serving this
year."
Berry was named the Sun Belt Coach of the Year after leading ULM to a tie
for second place in the league standings at 6-2. He was also selected as the Louisiana Coach
of the Year by the Louisiana Sports Writer's Association.
Joining
Berry on the cabinet of officers are Mack Brown (President, Texas), Mike Welch
(First VP, Ithaca College) and Tommy Tubberville (Second VP, Cincinnati).

School, ex officio member and chairman of the High School Committee. Bronco
Mendenhall of BYU and Todd Knight of Ouachita Baptist University are
newly-elected members of the Board this year. AFCA Executive Director Grant
Teaff serves as secretary-treasurer of the organization.
