ULM won the opening coin toss and elected to receive the ball first.
The series between ULM and South Alabama is now tied at 1-1, with each home team winning… ULM won 38-24 at Malone Stadium on Oct. 27, 2012.

Kolton Browning recorded his second rushing TD of the season and 18th-career rushing score with 12:23 to play in the second quarter... With 18 rushing TDs, he is now in a three-way tie for seventh in program history (Nathan Johnson, 1977-80; Eric Foster, 1993-95)… Browning also threw for 196 yards in the loss to go over the 10,000-yard mark – finishing the game at 10,016, becoming the first Warhawk to ever throw for 10,000 yards in a career.
Kolton Browning hooked up with Rashon Ceaser for the first Warhawk passing TD (44 yards) of Saturday's game with 10:07 to play in the third quarter… The TD pass was Browning's 19th of the season and 79th of his career… Ceaser's TD grab was his fourth of the season and all four have come over the last three games.
Rashon Ceaser finished the game with a career-best 138 yards Saturday night… With his 138-yard performance, Ceaser has now gone over the 100 yard mark for the third straight game.
Justin Backus recorded his first career interception with 12:41 to play in the game… His interception pushed ULM's streak of recording at least one turnover in a game to 25 straight contests.
Justin Manton punted nine times for 378 yards (42.0 avg) with a long of 59, one inside the 20 and one touchback.
South Alabama's Aleem Sunanon kicked a 45-yard FG in the first quarter… The 45-yarder is the second-longest FG of the season against ULM… Tulane's Cairo Santos had the longest against ULM – 56-yard FG… Sunanon totaled three FGs in the game as he became the first player this season to successfully hit three or more FGs in one game against the Warhawks.
