OXFORD, Miss. -- ULM dropped an 8-0 tilt at Mississippi in five innings Wednesday. Faith Bohack posted the lone hit for the Warhawks in the contest.
Ole Miss got on the board first in the bottom of third inning on Bri Payne's solo home run and never looked back.
The Rebels scratched another run across in the bottom of the fourth on Payne's RBI single.
The game was a pitchers' duel until the bottom of the fifth when the floodgates opened and the Rebels plated six runs. Ole Miss scored its seventh and eighth runs on Londen Lindsey's pinch-hit two-run single.
ULM's best chance to score when it loaded the bases without the benefit of a hit with two down in the top of the first, but did not score.
Bohack's single down the left field came in the third to break up Carly Hummel's no-hit bid.
The Warhawks return to action Saturday, April 20 when they host No. 20 South Alabama. The first pitch of the twin bill is slated for 4 p.m.
