ARLINGTON, Texas – Coming off a big double overtime victory over UL-Lafayette in the Sun Belt Conference opener, the ULM men's basketball program will look to stay unbeaten in league play when it travels to UT Arlington on Thursday for a noon tipoff at the College Park Center.

The Warhawks (4-5, 1-0 SBC) picked up their first double overtime victory since Jan. 5, 1989. Junior Tylor Ongwae and senior Jayon James both recorded a double-double in the win, becoming the first ULM duo to do so in the same game since Dec. 22, 2009.

Senior Amos Olatayo leads the team with a 14.3 points per game average, while Ongwae is right behind at 14.1 ppg. Both student-athletes have registered seven double-figure scoring games this season. Ongwae is coming off his best statistical performance with career-highs in points (27), rebounds (11), field goals made (11), blocks (3) and minutes (46) against the Cajuns.

Senior Jayon James is the team's leading rebounder with 7.2 per game. He ranks second in the Sun Belt Conference in defensive rebounds with 5.7 per contest.

UTA (5-9, 0-2 SBC) looks for its first-ever SBC victory on Thursday. It is 4-3 at home, but 0-2 in league play with losses to Arkansas State and UALR.

Senior guard Reger Dowell is 10th nationally and first in SBC in scoring at 22.0 ppg. Dowell scored a career-high 35 (tied for 20th in UTA history) vs. Howard Payne and had at least 20 points in the season's first seven games.

Senior forward Brandon Edwards is 19th nationally and second in SBC in rebounding at 9.9 per game. He has six double-doubles and had a streak of four in a row snapped at Texas. Edwards began the season 16th on UTA's all-time rebounding list and is now up to eighth.
