Post-Game Quotes at Arkansas State, Oct. 4, 2014

ULM Head Coach Todd Berry
“Well obviously congratulations to Coach Anderson and Arkansas State. They played much better than us in the second half and obviously I think that was the difference. I don't think either team wanted to win that much in the first half. They hit some explosions on us and that turned the tide. Our offensive execution right now is really, really poor and we couldn't do anything at the line of scrimmage. Both tackles being out created some issues for us and consequently we couldn't do much at the line of scrimmage. We couldn't get anything established in the run or pass game and then obviously all the explosive plays we gave up in the second half, which were mainly missed tackles. You know you can't overcome that.”

Q: With those turnovers there in the first half Arkansas State gave you a chance there but twice your two running backs fumbled the ball, that's so uncharacteristic of your teams, and especially the penalties.

A: I mean we were third in the nation in least amount of penalties and then the turnovers as you mentioned. That customarily hasn't been us. When you do those things you don't give yourself to win to begin with. It's very uncharacteristic and I just talked to the team about that.
