Warhawks Fall to Hot Swinging Ragin? Cajuns in Finale

MONROE, La. – UL-Lafayette tallied seven homers as the visitors claimed a 21-2 win over ULM Sunday afternoon at Warhawk Field.

UL-L (17-2, 3-0) jumped out to an early six-run lead as they plated six runs in the top of the first inning. Three different Ragin' Cajuns had two-RBI hits in the frame.

The Ragin' Cajuns added six more runs in the top of the second inning thanks to four homers in the inning.

ULM (7-14, 0-3) plated a single run in the bottom of the second inning as Dalton Herrington drove in Chet Simoneaux with a RBI single up the middle.

UL-L scored multiple runs in the third, fourth and fifth innings to increase their lead to 21-1.

The Warhawks scored the final run of the game as Anthony Herrera drove in Herrington with a RBI groundout after Herrington tripled down the right field line.

ULM will return to the diamond on Tuesday night when they travel to Hattiesburg, Miss., for a 6 p.m. tilt at Southern Miss.
