Warhawks Fall 7-0 in South Alabama Finale

MOBILE, Ala. -- The ULM softball program suffered a 7-0 loss to No. 12 South Alabama at Jaguar Field Sunday.

Miyuki Navarrete had three of ULM's five hits on the afternoon and was 3-for-3 at the plate with a stolen base.

South Alabama (29-3, 7-0 SBC) scored first when it capitalized on a leadoff walk and a ULM (15-13, 1-5) error.  Blair Johnson delivered an RBI single to plate the game's first run.  Later in the inning, Chloe Rathburn drove in a pair of runs with a single to give the Jaguars a 3-0 lead.

USA added a single run in the bottom of the third as pinch-runner Gwen Jones scored from second on an RBI single by Alex Breeden.

The Jaguars took a 7-0 lead after plating three more runs in the bottom of the fourth.  Amanda Herron capped the scoring with an RBI single.

ULM had opportunities to score in both the sixth and seventh innings with runners in scoring position, but the Warhawks could not get the runs in.

Hannah Campbell pitched well through her six innings of work and earned her 11th win of the year.

Samantha Hamby suffered the loss.
