How It Happened
-- After a Warhawk punt, Texas State used an 11-play, 66 yard drive on its first possession to take a 3-0 lead at the 8:22 mark of the opening quarter. On the drive, the Bobcats picked up three first downs as quarterback Tyler Jones was 3-for-4 for 49 yards.
-- ULM evened the contest at three apiece as Craig Ford hit a 28-yard field goal with 1:31 to play in the opening quarter. The Warhawks picked up 63 yards on the 10-play drive that saw the visitors pick up a total of four first downs on the scoring drive. Two of the four first downs were picked up were by Ben Luckett as he had a 10 yard rush and a 14 yard rush on the drive.
-- Texas State capped an eight-play, 66 yard drive with a 20-yard touchdown pass from Tyler Jones to Lawrence White with 2:42 to play in the second quarter.
-- Texas State's Lumi Kaba missed a 27-yard field goal with 4:05 to play and the Warhawk defense kept the score at 10-3 in favor of Texas State.
