ATLANTA -- The ULM baseball team dropped a 9-0 decision to Georgia State on Sunday afternoon at the GSU Baseball Complex.
ULM (17-18, 5-10 Sun Belt) put a pair on base with no outs in the second as Keelin Rasch and Danny Springer tallied back-to-back singles. The Warhawks were unable to push any runs across in the frame as Rasch and Springer were left stranded.
In the bottom half of the frame, Georgia State (22-15, 11-3 Sun Belt) plated three runs to take a 3-0 lead. The Panthers added two runs in the third and two in the fourth to push the lead to 7-0.
The homestanding Panthers added a pair of runs in the seventh to take a 9-0 lead and conclude scoring in Sunday's series finale.
ULM starter Weston Mason was charged with the loss and falls to 0-1 on the season after surrendering three runs on five hits in 1.2 innings of work.
Georgia State's Nathan Bates earned the win and is now 4-0 on the season.
The Warhawks will return to action with a pair of midweek games as they travel to Arkansas-Pine Bluff on Tuesday (4 p.m.) and host Northwestern State on Wednesday (6 p.m.).
