MONROE, La. – A strong start to the 2015 campaign earned senior Karlea Fehr from the ULM soccer program the Warhawk of the Month award for August, announced Monday.
The Lakewood, Colo., native is coming off a big week where she scored two goals and dished out an assist. In August, Fehr notched team-highs of six points, two goals, two assists, 19 shots and nine shots on goal.
In ULM's 3-0 win over Mississippi Valley State on Friday, Fehr scored a pair of goals, both on corner kicks that she took. It marked her second two-goal game of her career. Fehr also dished out assists this month against McNeese State and Arkansas-Pine Bluff.
Fehr has fired at least one shot in every game this season including a season-high four against McNeese State; 47.4 percent of her shots this year have been on goal.
The senior continues to leave a dent in the ULM soccer all-time record book as she's first in career assists (18), shots (216) and shots on goal (108). She's also up to No. 2 all-time in points (50) and No. 4 in both goals (15) and game-winning goals (4).
It marked her second career Warhawk of the Week award after previously winning on Sept. 9, 2014.
Fehr and the Warhawks will be back in action on Friday when they host Northwestern State at 4:00 p.m. at the ULM Soccer Complex. ULM will close out the weekend at home on Sunday against Southeastern Louisiana at 1:00 p.m.
Warhawk of the Month will revert back to a weekly award beginning next week.
