Atlanta, Ga. – The ULM Soccer team battled hard all day on Sunday, ultimately ending the match in a 0-0 double overtime draw against the host Georgia State Panthers.

THE TURNING POINT

In the shutout the turning point on Sunday was goalkeeper Brooke-Lynn Scroggins. She came up with five key saves on Sunday that helped keep the Warhawks even throughout the afternoon.

NOTABLES

-Sunday's match was the second draw of the season for the Warhawks, with the only other occurring in a road game with Southeastern Louisiana back on August 28.

-ULM finished with three shots in the game – one each from Nancy Kirk Herrington, Mary Ashton Lembo and Danielle Sabathe – with Kirk Herrington and Sabathe shots the only ones on goal in the match.

-Warhawks had three field players compete in all 110 minutes this afternoon including Kelsey Dazalla, Whitney Tuckfield and Danielle LaFrance as 19 total Warhawks saw action on the field Sunday.

-ULM and Georgia State met for the fourth time in each school's respective history. The home team had won each of three previous matches prior to today's draw as Georgia State now holds a 2-1-1 all-time record against the Warhawks.

Thought on the game: The team fought extremely hard. They controlled a lot of the possession and we just need to be clinical in the final third of the field.

-ULM will be back on the pitch next Sunday afternoon as it battles in state foe UL-Lafayette on October 16. The game in Lafayette will kickoff at 1:00 p.m.
