Warhawks Fall To Trojans In First Round Of SBC Tournament

Foley, Ala. – The ULM Soccer team couldn't overcome an early two-goal defecit on Wednesday in 2-0 loss to the Little Rock Trojans in the opening round of the Sun Belt Conference Championship.

THE TURNING POINT

In the 31st minute, Doro Greulich played a ball into teammate Quin Wilkes, who buried a goal from the penalty spot which gave the Trojans a 1-0 lead which they would extend to a two goal lead before the half.

NOTABLES

-Wednesday's match was ULM's first-ever Sun Belt Conference Tournament game and the Warhawks' first conference tournament game overall since 2005 as a member of the Southland Conference.

-ULM falls to 3-6 all-time in conference tournament games following Wednesday's loss.

-Sun Belt Conference First Team representative Brooke-Lynn Scroggins came up with nine saves in the loss. She finishes the season with 133 saves on the season, putting her into a tie for fourth in single season saves in Warhawk soccer history.

-Seniors Mary Ashton Lembo and Kylie Kukowski had the Warhawks pair of shots on goal in what turned out to be their final match of their ULM careers.
