MONROE, La. – A six-run sixth inning for the Gold squad pushed them to a game five victory in Sunday's final game of the ULM baseball team's Blood Series.
Maroon won the three middle games of the series to clinch the Blood Series victory by a 3-2 margin.
THE TURNING POINT
Gold recorded nine total hits in the win, with three players – Brian Findley, Anthony Herrera and Will Daniels – each with two hits to pace the attack as they team registered three doubles.
NOTABLES
-Findley, Daniels and Jimmy Versage had the doubles for Gold, while Herrera and Nathan Reynolds both drove in two RBI.
-For Maroon, Brian Barefoot, Cade Harper, Hunter Johnson and Turner Francis, had the four Gold doubles, while Casey Oliver delivered a triple in the win. Barefoot drove in two RBI in the loss.
-Herrera allowed only one hit and no runs over the final three innings after coming on in relief for Gold to earn the victory.
