BOONE, N.C. – Senior shortstop Faith Bohack filled the stat sheet, collecting three hits and two stolen bases in ULM softball's 4-1 loss to Appalachian State Sunday inside Lloyd/Sywassink Family Stadium.

Junior pitcher Melanie Coyne (9-7, 3.63 ERA) took the blemish on her record after allowing six hits and four runs (all earned) through 5.1 innings pitched. Sophomore Paige Porter also contributed 1.2 scoreless innings and allowed just one hit.

Mountaineer (5-19, 1-2 SBC) first baseman Hunter Josey took Coyne deep in the top of the first, driving in two on a homer to left center. The Warhawks (14-10, 2-1 SBC) were able to scratch their lone run in the bottom half on freshman Sydney McKay's walk with the bases loaded.

ULM had a missed opportunity in the third after Bohack led off the inning with a bunt single, stole second and was stranded at third. Similarly in the fifth, Bohack sparked the inning with a leadoff double to left field before Mountaineer pitcher Annaleise Kennedy entered the game and retired the side.

Josey struck again for a solo homer to right off of Coyne in the top of the sixth and second baseman Cara Parker followed up with a solo shot to left which gave App State two more insurance runs at 4-1. Kennedy held the Warhawks in check for three innings, allowing just one hit.

The two teams combined to go 0-13 with runners in scoring position. This was Bohack's 10th multiple-hit and second three-hit performance of the season.

The Warhawks return to action against Ole Miss Wednesday inside Ole Miss Softball Complex with first pitch scheduled for 6 p.m. CT on SEC Network.
