SAN MARCOS, Texas – ULM dropped Saturday's road finale to Texas State by a score of 8-0 at the Bobcat Softball Stadium.
Texas State scored three runs in the top of the first to take an early 3-0 lead. Corrina Liscano capped the frame with a two-RBI double to left.
An inning later, Kimberlin Naivar and Taylor Webb each picked up RBI doubles to extend their lead to 5-0. The Bobcats added two more runs in the bottom of the fifth on a two-RBI single by Kelli Baker and got a single run in the sixth to conclude the contest.
Melanie Coyne (10-12) was tagged with the loss in Sunday's series finale after allowing four runs on four hits.
Randi Rupp (16-5) earned the win after pitching six innings in Sunday's series finale.
The Warhawks will return to action on Tuesday with a road contest at Houston Baptist. First pitch is slated for 3 p.m.
