Warhawks, Cajuns Series Opener Suspended Thursday Night

Baseball

LAFAYETTE, La. – A lightning delay that began at 7:15 p.m. followed by a heavy rain cell forced the halting of the series opener between ULM and Louisiana-Lafayette. The game was suspended just after 8 p.m.

The Warhawks were leading 1-0 in the top of the fifth and had runners at first and second with Jacob Stockton at the plate.

ULM starting pitcher Keegan Curtis had pitched four complete innings and had retired the final 10 batters he faced before the delay began. Curtis had faced the minimum, allowing one base runner (walk) and five punch outs.

The two teams will begin the unofficial doubleheader on Friday afternoon at 4 p.m. Game two of the series will begin approximately 30 minutes after the conclusion of game one.

Radio broadcast information is TBA, fans should check the ULM Baseball schedule by clicking here for the station to tune into.
