MONROE, La. – The ULM volleyball team will travel to Knoxville, Tenn. to open up its season at the Tennessee Invitational on August 26-27 and will face Middle Tennessee, Tennessee and Cincinnati.
NOTABLES
-ULM won its season opener in 2015 over Jackson State, and has opened the last two seasons 2-2 in opening tournaments since head coach Patrick Hiltz returned to the Warhawks.
-ULM boasts 10 returning letterwinners and three starters from last years squad, while five new faces have joined the Warhawk roster.
-ULM has faced Middle Tennessee seven times, but ULM is 0-7 against Middle Tennessee since 2006. The two teams have never played at a neutral site.
-The Warhawks have never faced Tennessee or Cincinnati in volleyball history before this weekend.
-All four teams in the tournament will be opening up their season this weekend.

After this weekend's tournament, the Warhawks will have a midweek match at Northwestern State on Wednesday, Aug. 31 at 6:30 p.m. ULM is back on the road next weekend at the UCA Invitational in Conway, Arkansas. Overall, the Warhawks will play 11 neutral site or road matchups before their home opener on Sept. 13 against Southern Miss.
