QUOTABLES
Head Coach Keyton Wheelock
Recap of last weekend: Our non-conference schedule we set up to prepare us for our conference schedule and you basically have two seasons. Friday was a tough match for us; we struggled but I was happy to see them bounce back the way that they did on Sunday against McNeese. We are definitely taking some momentum into conference play. We got to see our team bounce back and games aren't going to always go as planned so I was proud of the team showing that they could bounce back on Sunday following Friday's tough game.
Thoughts going into SBC Play: Thursday we wipe the slate clean as everyone is even once again as everybody is sitting at zeroes. It is a big that we get to start our SBC schedule at home. We get to start showing other conference teams how we play and what we can do. The girls have worked hard for a lot months and they have worked hard in the last two months preparing for this part of the season.
Playing for support of Ovarian Cancer on Thursday: Very excited to support Kat Conner and Texas State in this cause. Kat has been in this conference for a few years now and she has battled and had to go through quite a bit so I am excited to be able to support the cause and support Kat. I think it is going to be a big weekend for our conference and it just shows that there is more to life than just soccer.
Preview of Georgia Southern: They have played some really good teams and they have also played a common opponent with us (South Florida). They have been in some games they don't give up a lot of goals as they are very organized defensively going forward they have some key players that can do some damage and we have got to be organized defensively. However we also have to be clinical in taking risks in front of the net.

Thoughts going into SBC Play: I definitely feel as a team we are going in strong coming off of the big win against McNeese on Sunday. We have gotten better each time we take the field and we are starting to have a style for which we play and we know that we are a hard working team.
UP NEXT
