Monroe, La. – The ULM soccer team fell behind and early and couldn't catch up throughout the day falling 2-0 to Central Arkansas on Sunday afternoon at the ULM Soccer Complex.

THE TURNING POINT

 

In the 4th minute, Dayna Mounie played a ball to Camille Bassett who pushed up the left side and beat Brooke-Lynn Scroggins on the right hand side for the first goal of the day in a game which they wouldn't relinquish the lead.

NOTABLES

-Central Arkansas outshot the Warhawks 12-5 this afternoon however they cut down the Bears shots after halftime to only five shots.

-Maia Mumford, Cke'Lana Caesar and Erika Wiest each put a shot on frame after halftime against Central Arkansas goalie Lauren Mercuri.

-Mumford, Caesar, Wiest, Alexiss Trudeau and Payton Vega each had a shot in the ballgame. Wiest, Trudeau and Vega each led the shots for a first time this season. Before today's game, Maia Mumford led the team against USF and SELU, Danielle Sabathe against MVSU and Caesar against USM and today against Nicholls State.

-Now five of the all-time meetings between the Bears and Warhawks have been shutouts between the two squads. The Bears have now taken two of those five all-time matchups.

UP NEXT

- ULM will begin preparation over the course of the next several days for a Friday night matchup with nearby foe Louisiana Tech out of Conference USA. Friday's match will kick at 7:00 p.m. just down I-20 in Ruston.
