Slow Start Halts Warhawks Saturday

Monroe, La. – The ULM women's basketball team had a slow start on Saturday against South Alabama Saturday with a 74-44 loss in Sun Belt play inside Fant-Ewing Coliseum.

TURNING POINT

The Warhawks got off to a slow start as South Alabama held ULM to a 16-7 score in the first quarter. The Jaguars forced 17 turnovers that they were able to convert to 27 points in the 30-point loss. 

NOTABLES

-London Archer was the only Warhawk to land in double digits as she finished with a career-high 10 points, shooting 3-of-3 from the floor and 4-of-4 from the charity stripe.

-Andreanna Jackson followed with eight points of her own, including going 5-of-6 at the free throw line. Jackson pulled down six rebounds (four defensive), and added one assist and one steal.

-South Alabama's Chyna Ellis grabbed the game-high 15 points shooting 6-of-15 from the floor, 2-of-4 from behind the arch and 1-of-2 from the stripe.

UP NEXT

The Warhawks will close out the homestand next Saturday, February 18, against Louisiana-Lafayette for a 12:00 p.m. tipoff. The game will be broadcast on ESPN3.
