MONROE, La. – The ULM men's basketball team finishes off its three-game homestand with an afternoon matchup with the Ragin Cajuns on Saturday inside Fant-Ewing Coliseum. Tipoff is slated for 2:00 p.m. and is available to watch on ESPN3. Fans can also listen to the game on the Warhawk Radio Network on Saturday.
The Warhawks enter the tilt with a 7-19 mark, coming off a tough one-point loss against Troy on Monday night, while the Ragin Cajuns are 15-11, coming off of a dominating 87-61 victory over South Alabama on Monday night, their first win in the last five.
NOTABLES
Last Time Out: ULM battled Troy throughout on Monday night, however could not overcome a late three-pointer from the Trojans as the visitors hung on for a 73-72 overtime victory.
Head-to-Head: The Warhawks and Ragin Cajuns meet on Saturday for the 76th time in program history. The Cajuns have won two in a row coming into Saturday's meeting with the Warhawks. The Cajuns were led in the first meeting earlier this season by Bryce Washington, who had a career-best 21 rebounds in a 69-60 win back on January 7.
Scouting the Cajuns: The Ragin Cajuns enter Saturday's contest coming off of a 87-61 victory on Monday over South Alabama. On the season, the Cajuns are paced by Frank Bartley IV, who is averaging 15.8 points per game. Jay Wright follows closely behind with 15.0 points per game and also a team-best 4.2 assists per game. Bryce Washington is the only player in the Sun Belt that is currently averaging a double-double with 14.1 points per game and 11.5 rebounds per game.
Sun Belt Leaders: Following the February 13 slate of SBC games, Travis Munnings sits second in the league averaging 8.1 rebounds per game while also sitting third in the league with 5.8 defensive rebounds per game average. Nick Coppola leads the league averaging 37.2 minutes per game while he sits third in assists per game at a 4.4 clip. Coopola also leads the league in assist to turnover ratio at a 2.9 mark.
Sharing the Basketball: The Warhawks have 345 assists on 641 made baskets this season. Nick Coppola leads the way with 115 assists, while Travis Munnings has 55 assists so far this season and Marcus Washington has 44 assists on the season.
