Monroe, La. -  The ULM women's basketball team was locked in a battle throughout the afternoon on Saturday, but ultimately saw the visiting Ragin' Cajuns close the game on a 14-5 run over the final 5:30 as the Warhawks fell 65-59 inside Fant-Ewing Coliseum.

TURNING POINT

-The Warhawks held a six-point lead at the half, but the Cajuns made their move in the third quarter, outscoring the Warhawks 21-9. Leading by two with 25 seconds left, the Ragin' Cajuns knocked down four free throws to close the game out and deny ULM's final push.

NOTABLES

-Andreanna Jackson finshed with a team-high 19 points shooting 8-of-16 from the floor in the loss. The senior filled out her stat line with four rebounds (three defensive) and added one block and one assist.

-Alexis Collins followed Jackson with 12 points of her own while grabbing two defensive rebounds and two assists. Gabriella Cortez rounded out the ULM double-digit scorers with 10 points, also pulling down six rebounds (three offensive) and three steals.

-Nearly every team scoring category was identical except for bench scoring, where the visitors finished the afternoon with a 16-4 advantage.

-The Ragin' Cajuns finished with more made free throws, 13, than ULM attempted for the game, negating the Warhawks' perfect percentage from the stripe (8-for-8).

-The Ragin' Cajuns' Simone Fields talled a game-high 21 points, while Jaylyn Gordon added 13 points as well.

-The Warhawks set out on their final road trip of the regular season to take on Appalachian State and Coastal Carolina next Thursday and Saturday.
