Warhawks Kick-Off Home Stretch with South Alabama

Soccer
MONROE, La. – The ULM soccer team is home for the rest of the season, as the Warhawks are in a must-win situation in order to have a chance at their spot in the Sun Belt tournament. Three wins in the final three league games would give them their best shot at being seeded. ULM's first opponent in the season finale is South Alabama, the Jaguars and Warhawks will kick-off on Friday at Oct. 12 at 4:00 p.m.

On Friday, the Warhawks will be celebrating their own Cancer Awareness Month of sorts by honoring fifteen different cancers that have in some way, effected the Warhawks through the lives of family and friends.

ULM (0-14, 0-7) has been unable to play a complete game this season, despite seeing obvious progression and growth over the past few weeks, including four one-goal decisions against the Ragin Cajuns', Little Rock, Georgia State, and Coastal Carolina.

All-time, the Jaguars lead the series, 15-0. ULM has lost by only one goal in six meetings, including a three-game streak from 2005-2007. The last three meetings between USA and ULM have all been decided by one goal. The 2015 contest in Monroe went to double overtime.

The Jaguars will be looking to bounce back from a 2-1 loss at Little Rock on Sunday (Oct. 7). South Alabama and the Trojans were tied 1-1 at the half, but a game-winner at the 86th minute put Little Rock ahead for the win.
