MONROE, La. – The ULM women's soccer team will be looking for its first win for the 2018 season on Sunday (Aug. 26) when it travels down I-20 to Ruston to face the Louisiana Tech Lady Techsters. Sunday's match is slated for 7 p.m.
The Warhawks have dropped the previous three meetings, including last year's 2-0 loss in Monroe.
ULM has struggled in general this season, after scoring its first goal of the season against Jacksonville State (Aug. 17), it has not seen the net since.
The Warhawks improved their offense effectiveness, and despite being outed 2-0 by Central Arkansas on Friday (Aug. 24), they were able to send off a season high eight shots.
As of Sunday, the Warhawk goal keeping unit is comprised of senior
Brooke-Lynn Scroggins and freshman
Bre Truscott. Together, the two have compiled 20 saves.
ULM will look to challenge the Louisiana Tech on Sunday, as the Lady Techsters come off a two-goal shutout win over Incarnate Word on Friday (Aug. 24). Louisiana Tech has had four players contribute goals this season, Mylene Roy-Ouellet and Kaylee Zettler both with multiple goals through three games.
Admission is free at Louisiana Tech's Soccer Complex. For those unable to attend, the match will be streamed live on CUSA.tv ($). Fans can also follow @ULM_Soccer on Twitter for live in-game updates.
