STORYLINE: Following back-to-back homecourt wins over Louisiana College (64-41) and Alcorn State (73-72 in overtime), ULM (2-0) opens a two-game road swing against SEC opponents at Texas A&M (1-0) on Monday, Nov. 11 at 7 p.m.  ULM's starting lineup features two double-figure scorers, in guards JD Williams (21.0 ppg.) and Michael Ertel (15.5 ppg.). Both Williams (third team) and Ertel (second team) were named Preseason All-Sun Belt by the league's head coachs. In the season opener against Louisiana College, Williams hit 9-of-13 field-goal attempts and matched his career high with 25 points.
 
THE STARTING FIVE –
• With its 73-72 overtime win over Alcorn State Saturday, ULM recorded its 1,000th victory in program history since beginning competition as a four-year institution in 1951-52 (69th season). Keith Richard's 114 career victories at ULM rank third on the all-time list, trailing only Mike Vining (402; 1981-05) and Lenny Fant (326; 1957-79). That trio has accounted for 841 of ULM's 1,000 all-time wins as a four-year institution.
 
• ULM ranks among the Sun Belt Conference leaders in scoring defense (second at 56.5 points per game), field-goal percentage defense (tied for second at .333), rebound margin (second at +15.0 pg.), offensive rebounds (tied for fourth at 13.0 pg.) and blocked shots (tied for sixth at 4.5 pg.).
 
• ULM outrebounded NCAA Division III Louisiana College, 57-24, in the season opener. The +33 rebound margin is tied for the fourth-best mark recorded during the opening week of the 2019-20 season. New Hampshire outrebounded Curry College by +36, 59-23, in its season opener.
 
• ULM is 28-7 (.800) in games played in Fant-Ewing Coliseum since 2017-18. The Warhawks went 14-3 at home in 2018-19. The 14 home victories matched the second-highest single-season total in school history (six times; previous seasons: 1985-86, 1990-91, 1992-93, 2006-07, 2014-15 and 2018-19). The Warhawks won a single-season record 15 games (15-1) in 1978-79.
 
• ULM made its 13th postseason appearance in program history in 2019. It marked the Warhawks' fourth trip to postseason play in the last five years, including their third appearance in the CollegeInsider.com Tournament. ULM knocked off Kent State, 87-77, the first round of the 2019 CIT before falling to Texas State in triple overtime, 108-102, in the quarterfinals.
 
ULM/TEXAS A&M SERIES NOTES –
Monday's game marks the sixth meeting between ULM and Texas A&M. The Aggies lead the all-time series 4-1, including a 3-0 record in games played in Reed Arena.
 
It marks the first meeting between the two teams since Dec. 10, 2011, when the No. 22 Aggies defeated the Warhawks, 67-54, in College Station. ULM won the first-ever meeting against Texas A&M, 76-61, in the Las Vegas Classic on Dec. 22, 2001.
