MONROE, La. – ULM softball coach Molly Fichtner announced the hiring of Rhianna Rich as a graduate assistant on the Warhawk coaching staff.

Rich will primarily focus on the mental game while assisting with the team's offensive approach and infielders.

"We are so excited to welcome Rhianna Rich to ULM," Fichtner said. "I remember coaching against her during my days at Dartmouth College and loved the way she respected and played the game. Our coaching staff is looking forward to learning from her. With the addition of Rhi, our program just got better."

Rich is a 2019 graduate of Harvard, where she earned a bachelor's degree in neuroscience with pre-medical coursework in anatomy, biology, physics and chemistry. She also was a secondary degree candidate in history of science with a language citation in Spanish.

On the field, Rich was a four-time All-Ivy League shortstop for the Crimson, a three-time National Fastpitch Coaches Association All-America Scholar-Athlete and a two-time CoSIDA Academic All-District First-Team selection.

Rich comes to ULM after spending the 2020 season at Loyola Marymount, where she was a volunteer assistant softball coach.

Rich is a native of El Segundo, California.
