MONROE, La. – The ULM volleyball team returns home to Fant-Ewing Coliseum this weekend for a matchup with two Sun Belt Conference East Division opponents. The Warhawks face off with Troy at 6 p.m. Friday and South Alabama at 11 a.m. Sunday.
ULM is 5-19 on the season with a record of 1-8 in SBC play. Stat leaders for the Warhawks include senior
Cali Assaley with 255 total kills with an average of 3.31 kills per set, junior
Mariana Volponi e Giordan with 337 total assists with an average of 5.71 assists per set and junior
Madeline Hogan with 198 digs on the season with an average of 3.67 digs per set.
As a team, ULM averages 10.4 kills per set, 9.4 assists per set and 14.2 digs per set.
Troy enters the weekend at 11-9 on the season with a 4-5 record in conference play. Troy averages 13.1 kills per set, 12.2 assists per set and 13.2 digs per set.
The Trojans have dropped their last two matches with losses to Georgia State and South Alabama. Troy has won their last two meetings against ULM. The Warhawks last defeated Troy in 2017. ULM is 4-15 all-time against Troy.
USA is 15-6 on the season with an 8-1 record in conference play. The Jaguars are averaging 12.7 kills per set, 11.6 assists per set and 15.9 digs per set.
The Jaguars are on a three-game winning streak with wins over Georgia Southern, Georgia State and Troy. The last time ULM faced off with USA was in the 2020 SBC Championship Tournament in a loss that eliminated the Warhawks from championship contention. ULM is 7-15 all-time versus the Jaguars.
