MONROE, La. – The ULM soccer team closes out the regular season with a make-up match against Troy at 1 p.m. Thursday at Brown Stadium.
The two teams previously met on Sept. 19 at Brown Stadium, but the game was postponed in the 47th minute due to inclement weather. The game was tied at 2, but Thursday's match will restart from the beginning.
ULM has won five consecutive matches. Junior
Courtney Marten leads the team with 14 goals and has added one assist. Senior
Theoni Zerva, who will play her final match at Brown Stadium Thursday, has set the school single-season points record with 10 goals and a school-record 10 assists for 30 points on the campaign. Zerva has scored a point in six consecutive matches.
Troy (6-9-1, 3-6-0) can still move up the SBC standings with a win on Thursday. The Trojans can finish ninth in the standings with a win or 10th with a loss. Erin Bloomfield leads the Trojans with seven goals, while Ella Owen has three goals and one assist. Taytum Terrell has one goal and a team-high three assists. Lindsey LaRoche has played in 14 games with 13 starts in goal with a 1.16 goals against average and a .795 save percentage.
