MONROE, La. – The ULM soccer team opens play in the Sun Belt Conference Championship with a 6:30 p.m. match Monday vs. Troy at the Foley Sports Tourism Complex in Foley, Alabama.
The two teams met on Thursday with Troy earning a 2-1 win in overtime at Brown Stadium. Troy picked up goals by Nia Wilson and Lisa Blankestein, while ULM had a goal from freshman
Mara Grutkamp.
ULM is led by senior
Theoni Zerva, who has a school-record 30 points on the season. She has scored 10 goals and added a program-record 10 assists. Junior
Courtney Marten has a school-record 14 goals and added one assist. Grutkamp has five goals and four assists. Junior goalkeeper
Hailey Hillock has a 1.29 goals against average and .753 save percentage.
Troy is led by Erin Bloomfield with seven goals. Ella Owen has three goals and one assist. Taytum Terrel has picked up one goal and three assists. Lindsey LaRoche has a 1.15 goals against average and .798 save percentage.
