Warhawks Open Three-Match Homestand Friday NIght

MONROE, La. – The ULM volleyball team hosts opens a three-match homestand Friday night. The Warhawks host Little Rock at 6 p.m. Friday, Arkansas State at 11 a.m. Sunday and the Ragin' Cajuns at 6 p.m. Tuesday, all at Fant-Ewing Coliseum.
 
ULM comes into Friday's contest on a three-match losing skid and is 5-14 on the year and 1-3 in the Sun Belt Conference.
 
ULM averages 10.6 kills per set, 9.6 assists per set and 14.1 digs per set. The Warhawks are led in kills by senior Cali Assaley with an average of 3.56 kills per set. Junior Mariana Volponi e Giordan leads ULM with 5.96 assists per set. Junior Madeline Hogan leads the Warhawks with 3.56 digs per set.
 
Little Rock enters the weekend with a record of 10-7 on the season and 1-4 in SBC play. The Trojans lead the all-time series, 40-4, with ULM posting a win, 3-2, in 2019. The Trojans average 13.1 kills per set, 12.5 assists per set and 16.1 digs.
 
On Sunday, ULM meets the Arkansas State Red Wolves. Arkansas State has the best overall record in the Sun Belt at 12-5 and is 3-2 in SBC play. A-State leads the series, 43-5. ULM has not beaten the Red Wolves since 1986. The Red Wolves average 13 kills per set, 12.1 assists per set and 17.9 digs per set.
 
Tuesday, ULM hosts the Ragin' Cajuns for an in-state rivalry match. ULM's last win over the Cajuns came in 2018. The Cajuns are 8-4 on the season and 3-1 in SBC play. The Cajuns have the all-time series lead at 44-21. The Cajuns average 13.2 kills per set, 12.1 assists per set and 17.1 digs per set.
