ULM Baseball Tallies 9 Signees in Early Signing Period

Baseball
MONROE, La. – Nine student-athletes signed National Letters of Intent with the ULM baseball team in the early signing period, ULM head coach Michael Federico announced.

Trey Bridges, Miles Clack, Brandt Corley, Jake Haggard, Drew Miller, Tanner Roberts, Ben Riley, Justin Robinson and Cardell Thibodeaux Jr. all signed to play for the Warhawks. The class consists of players from Louisiana, Mississippi, Nevada, Texas and Florida.

"We are very excited about this incoming class of Warhawks," Federico said. "We wanted to get more left-handed on the mound and at the plate, and we achieved that in this early signing period.

"I want to thank (assistant coach) Matt Collins and (assistant coach and recruiting coordinator) Jake Carlson for their effort on continuing to bring quality people into our program. All of these young men joining our program are not only talented on the field but will represent ULM in a first-class manner on the field, in the classroom and in the community. We are excited for this to be the first class to be able to play on the newly renovated Warhawk Field. There are a couple of needs that we will address in the spring, but we are off to a great start with this recruiting class."

Trey Bridges

Bridges is a senior at Jackson Preparatory in Jackson, Mississippi. As a junior in 2021, he helped the Patriots claim the MAIS Class 6A state championship while hitting .402 with 37 hits. As a sophomore in 2020, he hit .400. He also played for Team Georgia Baseball Academy for three years and was a wide receiver and defensive back on the football team.

"Trey has a very smooth left-handed swing with the ability to hit to all fields," Federico said. "He has a tremendous build and will really take off as he continues to add strength. Trey is a very skilled baseball player that has a very high baseball IQ."

Miles Clack

He was a three-year letterwinner at Seven Lakes High School in Katy, Texas. As a senior in 2019, he was named Second-Team All-District and to the All-Houston team as he finished second in career strikeouts at Seven Lakes. "Miles is a competitive kid that can fit many different roles on our pitching staff," Federico said. "Miles has a really good feel for a cutter and continues to improve. Miles is part of a National Championship at LSU Eunice, so he has a high expectation of winning."

Brandt Corley

Corley is a senior at Lovejoy High School in Lucas, Texas.
