MONROE, La. – The ULM volleyball team opens play at the Sun Belt Conference Championship at 12 p.m. Thursday when they meet Georgia Southern in the first round at the Foley Sports Tourism Complex in Foley, Alabama.
The Warhawks completed the 2021 regular season with a record of 5-26 and 1-15 in the SBC.
Regular season stat leaders for ULM include senior
Cali Assaley with 338 kills and an average of 3.45 kills per set, junior
Mariana Volponi e Giordan with a total of 461 assists and an average of 5.99 assists per set and junior
Madeline Hogan with 233 digs and an average of 3.88 digs per set.
ULM finished the regular season averaging 10.4 kills per set, 9.3 assists per set and 14.4 digs per set.
Georgia Southern finished the 2021 season with 16-10 record. As a team the Eagles averaged 12.2 kills per set, 11 assists per set and 15.1 digs per set.
Georgia Southern won the only meeting between the two teams in the regular season. The Eagles won a 3-1 match in Fant-Ewing Coliseum on Sept. 24.
