Michael Federico released the 2022 schedule Thursday afternoon.
The slate features 29 home games at the newly renovated Warhawk Field, including a weekend series against Missouri. Also included are nonconference home-and-home matchups with Louisiana Tech, Northwestern State, McNeese, Stephen F. Austin and Jackson State.
The Warhawks will play their first game on the new FieldTurf at Warhawk Field on Friday, Feb. 18, when Southern Illinois visits ULM for a three-game series. After a game at Northwestern State on Feb. 22, the Warhawks return home to face off with SEC foe Missouri for a three-game set from Feb. 25-27.
The month of March starts with a double midweek at Ole Miss, followed by a home series against New Orleans on March 4-6. After NSU visits Warhawk Field on March 8, ULM travels to Nicholls for a weekend series on March 11-13. Louisiana Tech comes to ULM on March 15. Sun Belt Conference play begins with a series at Coastal Carolina from March 18-20. The Warhawks return home for mid-week matchups with Jackson State and SFA on March 22 and 23 before a series with Georgia State on March 25-27. The month concludes with a trip to Alex Box Stadium to play LSU on March 29.
ULM opens April with a three-game SBC series at UT Arlington on April 1-3. The Warhawks conclude the Texas road trip with a rare Monday game at SFA on April 4. Troy visits Warhawk Field on April 8-10. ULM goes to Jackson State on April 12 ahead of a weekend series in Lafayette against the Ragin' Cajuns on April 14-16. ULM entertains McNeese for a mid-week on April 20, hosts App State for a conference series on April 22-24 and then returns the trip to Lake Charles against McNeese on April 26. The Warhawks wrap up the month and start May with a series at Little Rock from April 29-May 1.
In the final month of the season, the Warhawks visit Ruston to wrap up the mid-week nonconference games with Louisiana Tech on May 3. ULM embarks on SBC play the rest of the way, hosting Texas State on May 6-8, visiting South Alabama on May 13-15 and entertaining Arkansas State to end the regular season on May 19-21.
The SBC Championship returns to Riverwalk Stadium in Montgomery, Alabama from Tuesday, May 24, to Sunday, May 29.
