MONROE, La. - The ULM women's basketball team looks for its third consecutive win at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday when in-state foe Northwestern State visits Fant-Ewing Coliseum. ULM has not won three consecutive games since a five-game winning streak from Nov. 15-Dec. 9, 2018.

Wednesday's game is the 92nd all-time meeting between ULM and Northwestern State, making it the most-played rivalry in program history. NSU leads the series, 51-40, but the Warhawks have won the last three meetings, including last year's 68-55 win at Prather Coliseum in Natchitoches. ULM has won 10 of the last 12 meetings. NSU last defeated ULM, 70-48, on Dec. 3, 2017, in Monroe.
ULM has been off for a week after a 65-51 win over Champion Christian on Dec. 8. Sophomore
Gara Beth Self led the team in scoring for the second consecutive game. She hit four 3-pointers and finished with 16 points. She is averaging 9.4 points and 3.6 rebounds over the last five games while shooting 48% (10-of-21) from the 3-point line. She is averaging 12.0 points, 2.6 rebounds and 1.8 assists per game in five home games.
Fifth-year senior
Kierra Crockett was the second Warhawk in double figures against Champion Christian, scoring 12 points with seven rebounds and a career-high five steals. Over the last five contests, she is averaging 7.6 points and 7.4 rebounds per game. She is averaging a team best 2.8 steals per game.
Freshman
Katlyn Manuel continues to impress. The Lawtell, Louisiana, narrowly missed a second consecutive double-double with nine points and a career-high 13 rebounds vs. Champion Christian. Her four blocks were also a career-high while playing just 13 minutes against the Tigers. She is averaging 3.8 points and 4.5 rebounds per game on the season, while posting 5.8 points and 5.4 rebounds per game over the last five contests.
Northwestern State is 5-3 entering Wednesday's contest at Fant-Ewing Coliseum. The Lady Demons have won back-to-back road contests, defeating Arkansas State, 80-76, on Dec. 2 and Mississippi Valley State, 78-71 in overtime, on Saturday.
Candice Parramore is the reigning Southland Conference Player of the Week and leads the Demons at 12.4 points and 3.3 rebounds per game. Monette Bolden is right behind Parramore at 12.1 points and is second on the team at 6.5 rebounds per game. Jiselle Woodson is averaging 9.1 points per game and has shot an efficient 61% (11-of-18) from the 3-point line. Jordan Todd averages just shy of a double-double per game at 9.0 points and a team-best 9.9 rebounds per game.
ULM and NSU have three common opponents: Grambling (ULM lost 69-61, NSU lost 68-60), Louisiana Christian (ULM won 71-58, NSU won 78-36) and Centenary (ULM won 70-36, NSU won 91-50).
