MONROE, La. – ULM head softball coach
Molly Fichtner released the 2022 schedule Thursday afternoon, featuring 20 home games at the ULM softball complex and 25 games played in Monroe.
For the second consecutive season, the Warhawks will open the season at the Best on the Bayou Classic at the Ouachita Sportsplex. ULM battles Mississippi Valley State in the season opener at 6:30 p.m. Feb. 11. The Warhawks continue the tournament with SIUE, Morehead State, Stephen F. Austin and Southern on Feb. 12-13.
ULM plays its official home opener at 5:30 p.m. Feb. 16 against Jackson State. The Warhawks then go to the Golden Eagle Invitational at Southern Miss to face Houston Baptist, Jacksonville State, MVSU and Southern Miss on Feb. 18-20.
After a midweek road trip to Grambling on Feb. 22, ULM heads to the Auburn Invitational to play Auburn, Delaware State, Syracuse and Bradley on Feb. 25-27. The Warhawks continue the road swing in Alabama with matchups against Alabama State on March 1 and Jacksonville State on March 2.
ULM visits I-20 foe Louisiana Tech on March 8 before opening Sun Belt Conference play with Georgia Southern on March 11-13 at the ULM Softball Complex. The Warhawks play a doubleheader at Alcorn State on March 15 before visiting Troy for a weekend series on March 18-20. After home midweek matchups with Grambling and Southeastern on March 22 and 23, ULM entertains App State for a home series on March 25-27.
The Warhawks open the month of April with a conference series at UT Arlington on April 1-3. ULM is home to Louisiana Tech on April 5 before hosting Texas State on April 8-10. After a visit to Coastal Carolina on April 14-16, the Warhawks go to Mississippi State for a midweek on April 19. South Alabama visits Monroe on April 22-24 before McNeese comes to the ULM Softball Complex to close the non-conference schedule on April 27. The month of April ends and May begins with a series at Georgia State on April 29-May 1.
ULM closes the regular season with a series against the Ragin' Cajuns on May 5-7 before heading to the Sun Belt Conference Championship on May 10.
