MONROE, La. – The ULM soccer team heads down I-20 to face Louisiana Tech at 1 p.m. Sunday at the Ruston Sports Complex.
ULM is 4-11 on the 2020-21 season but is 4-1 in spring matches. The Warhawks rolled past Nicholls on Monday, 4-0, in Thibodaux.
Janet Stopka scored her team-best eighth goal of the season, which ties her for the third most goals in a single-season in program history.
Courtney Marten scored twice on Monday to give her three goals for the season, which is second on the team.
McKenzie Rizqi has netted two goals.
Efi Brame leads the team with three assists. Goalkeepers
Hailey Hillock and
Mickaela Leal combined on their third shutout of the spring season, which was the fourth shutout overall for ULM.
LA Tech is 8-5 on the season and 6-4 in the spring after going 2-1 in three fall matches. The Lady Techsters have lost back-to-back matches after falling to North Texas, 1-0, on March 12 and Rice, 2-0, on Friday. Sophomore midfielder Sophie Fijneman leads LA Tech with four goals and four assists. Maggie Boston has made seven appearances in goal with six starts with a 0.92 goals against average.
