MONROE, La. – The ULM Warhawks will play as the third seed from the Sun Belt Conference's West Division and are in Pool B with the East Division's second seed, Georgia Southern, and fifth seed, Georgia State, for the Sun Belt Conference Championship starting Tuesday at Riverwalk Stadium in Montgomery, Alabama.
The Warhawks will open play in the Championship at 4 p.m. Tuesday with Georgia State. ULM won two-of-three from the Panthers March 19-21, winning the final two games of the series, 3-1 and 9-7. GSU won the opener, 4-3.
ULM will then have two days off before facing off with Georgia Southern at 7 p.m. Friday. The Eagles swept the Warhawks in a three game series in Statesboro from April 9-11, winning 4-3, 4-1 and 7-1.
The winner of Pool B advances to the semifinals at 4 p.m. Saturday against the winner of Pool C, which has the Ragin' Cajuns, Appalachian State and Texas State.
