MONROE, La. – The ULM women's basketball team will face a 16-game conference schedule in the 2021-22 season as announced by the Sun Belt Conference Wednesday afternoon.
The SBC returns to one set of conference standings in 2021-22 after splitting into divisions in 2020-21 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The schedule begins at home on New Year's weekend with the Warhawks facing off with Texas State on Dec. 30 before taking on UT Arlington on Jan. 1.
ULM then goes on the road for six of the next seven contests. The stretch starts with a trip to the Natural State to face Little Rock on Jan. 6 and Arkansas State on Jan. 8. After hosting South Alabama on Jan. 13, the Warhawks go on the road for four consecutive games, visiting Troy (Jan. 15), Coastal Carolina (Jan. 20), App State (Jan. 22) and the Ragin' Cajuns (Jan. 29).
The slate flips in February with five of seven contests in the friendly confines of Fant-Ewing Coliseum. Arkansas State and Little Rock open the month on Feb. 3 and 5, respectively. After a Texas road swing to UT Arlington on Feb. 10 and Texas State on Feb. 12, the Warhawks return home for the final three games of the season. The Ragin' Cajuns visit Monroe on Feb. 19 and the regular season concludes with Georgia Southern on Feb. 24 and Georgia State on Feb. 26.
ULM will then make its second consecutive trip to Pensacola, Florida, for the Sun Belt Conference Championship at the Pensacola Bay Center from March 2-7, as all 12 member schools will compete in the tournament.
