ULM Continues Road Swing at Northwestern State

MONROE, La. – The ULM volleyball team aims for its third-consecutive win as it travels to Natchitoches to take on Northwestern State at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday.

It is the first meeting between the teams since 2018, when the Demons won, 3-2. ULM leads the all-time series 34-25. The Demons have won the last nine meetings.

ULM (2-1) has won back-to-back matches after dropping its season opener to Oral Roberts. The Warhawks won a convincing 3-0 matchup against Prairie View A&M and held on to beat tournament host Lamar, 3-2. During the three-game stay at the Katrinka Crawford Invitational, multiple Warhawks had career-best showings, including senior Cali Assaley who had 19 kills and sophomore Emma McWorther who had seven aces against Lamar. Freshman Avery Cole and Assaley were named to the All-Tournament Team for their performance.

NSU (1-2) opened its season with two straight losses against quality competition. The Demons lost to Tulane, 3-2, and were swept by California, 3-0. They rebounded with a 3-0 win over Alabama A&M. As a unit, the Demons combined for 35 kills and 11 aces in the victory.
