MONROE, La. – Junior Devyn McCormick, who averaged 45.7 yards on seven punts including two kicks inside the opponent's 20 in ULM's 29-16 win over Troy in the Sun Belt Conference opener for both teams, has been selected Louisiana Sports Writers Association Co-Special Teams Player of the Week.

McCormick's season-long 55-yarder early in the fourth quarter pinned Troy back at its own 4-yard line. Two plays later, Ty Shelby sacked Taylor Powell for a 7-yard loss that resulted in a safety, which gave ULM a 22-10 lead.

A native of Port Charlotte, Florida, McCormick currently ranks fourth in the Sun Belt, averaging 43.7 yards per punt (24 for 1,049 yards). He has hit four punts more than 50 yards and placed five kicks inside the opponent's 20-yard line.
