MONROE, La. – The ULM women's basketball team released its 2021-22 non-conference schedule Thursday morning.
The non-conference slate features eight home games in addition to a home exhibition matchup. Highlights of the slate include a home date against I-20 rival Louisiana Tech, visits from in-state foes Northwestern State and McNeese, and a trip to the Van Chancellor Classic in Katy, Texas. It marks ULM's first multi-team event since the Shocker Winter Classic in Wichita, Kansas, in the 2014-15 season.
The Warhawks open the 2021-22 season with an exhibition against Millsaps on Monday, Nov. 1, at Fant-Ewing Coliseum. The regular season begins on Tuesday, Nov. 9, at Grambling State. The road swing continues Saturday, Nov. 13, at Southern Miss.
ULM plays the official home opener on Tuesday, Nov. 16, against Louisiana College. After a trip to face Central Arkansas on Saturday, Nov. 20, the Warhawks host Centenary on Monday, Nov. 22.
ULM makes the trip to the Van Chancellor Classic in Katy, Texas, over Thanksgiving weekend. The Warhawks open with Stetson on Friday, Nov. 26. ULM closes the event with New Mexico on Saturday, Nov. 27, and Stephen F. Austin on Sunday, Nov. 28.
The Warhawks will spend the entire month of December at home. The slate starts when ULM renews its historic rivalry with the Louisiana Tech Lady Techsters on Thursday, Dec. 2. It will be the 57th all-time meeting between the teams and the first in Monroe since Nov. 29, 2016.
The homestand rolls along with Alcorn State (Dec. 4), Champion Christian (Dec. 8), Northwestern State (Dec. 15), McNeese (Dec. 18) and Mississippi Valley State (Dec. 20).
The Sun Belt Conference schedule begins with a home weekend against Texas State (Dec. 30) and UT Arlington (Jan. 1). The full release on the 2021-22 SBC schedule is available
